10 MONTHS
10 months
I can't believe Peter has made it to 10 months already! He gets more beautiful everyday. He loves hearing his voice echo, strong flavors, HIS PAPA, his Freight Train book, carrying metal tablespoons around, cats and dogs, action!, pulling on cords, yelling "Ah! Ah!" at everyone he sees, smiling at strangers.....etc We love him!
Here is a little video I took today (of course, like always, he was laughing hysterically until I brought the camera out, then he froze up):

MUSEUM

Today I took Peter to a Children's Museum-type-place in Berkeley called Habitot. It was a free day, so kind of crowded, but still enjoyable. Peter liked the crowd, and stared wide-eyed at all the kids the whole time. Most of the activities were still too old for him, but he had a great time! I look forward to taking him more when he is a bit older.

FIRSTS

Peter had a lot of "firsts" today. He wore shoes for the first time, tried sauerkraut and LOVED it (begged for more and more!), went on a merry-go-round, and took a special ride on a little kiddie steam train in the Berkeley Hills.

PARK CRAWL

Peter is so adventurous and loves to explore. He does, however, like to check in with us even few minutes; he will crawl off by himself and go all over and then crawl back to our arms for just a second (to make sure everything is okay) before taking off again.

PARK

Peter and I stopped at a park for a little bit on our way to pick Erik up from work. He really loved the swing, though in all the pictures I took of him he looks very somber. He also enjoyed the bouncy ride (try to ignore my arm...it looks like it belongs to an 85-year-old).

Here is our pretty little boy hanging in his stroller at See's today (had to get a sugary pick me up!) He is looking at two women who stopped to admire him. We can't go anywhere, walk more than five feet, without someone stopping to tell me how beautiful Peter is. It sure does make me a proud Mom!

CAR NAP

The worst is when Peter falls asleep in the car. He wakes up when we bring him into the house, and then he won't fall asleep for his real nap. Peter, the 4 minute car nap does not count!!

SUMMER DAY

Erik had a random day off, so we got to spend some time as a family. We went up to Tilden Park in Berkeley and went to the Little Farm (a petting zoo type place) and Lake Anza for a little swimming (where we got nachos, a hot dog, and a root beer float). Peter liked the goats at the Little Farm and the wet sand at the lake. We wanted to go on the Steam Train too, but we didn't make it in time before they closed. It was a great day, and really felt like summer!

ROCKING HORSE

Peter received a rocking horse in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa today! He really loves it and by his expressions, he really thinks he is a Big Boy when he is riding. He still needs some help to balance, but I think it won't be too long before he is riding into the sunset all on his own.

LOOKING OLDER

Peter is looking so old all of a sudden! Like a little boy. I forgot to mention earlier that we had his 9 month well-baby visit on Monday. He weighs 21 pounds and is 28.5 inches long/tall. His weight is around the 50th percentile, and his height around the 75th. Growing up so FAST!
He looks like a 45 year-old man in these pics:

STANDING
9 months, 6 days
The Beasley's went home this morning, so Peter is back to his usual routine. He napped almost 4 hours today! Catching up on his sleep put him in a great mood all day...love this guy. I think he will start "cruising" soon...he really likes pulling himself up into a standing position.
