UPDATE

It has been so long since I've updated and I haven't really been very good at taking pictures either.  The boys are doing really well.  Peter is getting so excited for Christmas, and really trying hard to be a good boy for Santa.  Erik "calls" him several times a day to give an update.  George is growing more every day and really seems big lately.  He loves playing with his toys and eating.

Peter and I made these leaf decorations for his window.

Peter continues to be obsessed with The Sword and the Stone.  Check out the video of him acting along with one of his favorite scenes:

SOME PICS

Peter and Pizza.  My little lunch date.

Peter asked me to take his picture.  He was pretty sure he was looking the coolest.  We found this helmet for a dollar at the consignment store.  It is just like Sword and the Stone, so of course he loves it ;)

He's really good at sitting up now.  Oh, he is cute!

Riding the airplane at the zoo.  He also went on a little roller coaster.  It was his idea to go...I think he was pretty scared until the very end.  He said it made him "nervous" and "frustrated" (I wonder what he thinks frustrated means).  I was so proud of him for going!

WHAT'S NEW

Not much is new around here.  Just doing the day to day routine!

Georgie's new favorite toy is a classic:

A See's Candy opened up in our neighborhood!  Just a 5 minute walk or so.  Dangerous!!!  We had fun visiting on the first day and getting some free sample and a hat.  Right after this I ran over a thorn and busted one of the stroller tires.  I dragged the stroller to a bike shop nearby to have the tube replaced; I'm glad it was so close.  Don't know what I would have done otherwise.

George and Peter being "reverent" at church.

Major side-eye from Peter:

He didn't want George looking at the drawing he made in nursery.  Poor George.

I made up a new toy for Peter.  Just a bunch of corn meal dumped into a bin with some construction toys I found at Target.   He loves it and called it his "Stussion Site".

Happy little guy.  Happy during the day at least.  Nights have been bad :(

LAST WEEK

Here are a few pics from last week.

Peter coloring on our pumpkins (with only the BROWN marker of course...sometimes he'll allow purple :) Charlie is overseeing the situation.

Finished product.  Peter always wants to light them during the day (which he calls "Spring").

I found this Indy 500 sweatshirt for George!  So cozy :)  He sat outside in his bouncy seat watching the carving happy as can be.

These are my favorite pajamas on George.  He is starting to grow out of them and it makes me sooo sad :( I've been looking all over to try to find bigger sizes.

Sitting up!  He sits on his own for quite a bit, but then starts to get to excitable and it makes him fall over.

Peter went to the doc today for his 3-year-old well-child visit.  He's 30 pounds and 36" tall, putting his little bmi at 16.  So cute,  He did really well talking to the doctor, through he lied to almost every question. "Do you brush your teeth, Peter?" "No" "Do you always go in your carseat when you are in the car?" "No"  "Do you poop in the toilet?" "YES!"  Oh Peter.  He did great otherwise.  Got the Flu "Mist" up his little nosies.  We did good :)

HALLOWEEN, ETC

I have had such a a good time with my boys lately!

Peter loves the little pumpkin we carved.  He can't wait to light it each night.

We went to Ardenwood Farm this week.  It is a quick 30 minute drive and a really fun place.  They had a big pumpkin patch, lots of animals to see, and a train to ride.  Peter loved it.  He even got to milk a pretend cow :)

We had the Trunk or Treat at church on Saturday.  Peter HATED putting on his costume, hated it.  As soon as he got that first piece of candy though.....he was FINE.

Peter, as Wart (King Arthur) from Sword and the Stone:

George, the little mouse:

Peter turned THREE! I didn't really any pics because I was so busy all day and so caught up in everything going on :(  Here is a sweet photo of the brothers holding some birthday balloons that I love though:

I also got a very short video of him blowing out his candles:

We drove the the beach and got BBQ at our favorite place.  It's so beautiful there!

GEORGE IS 6 MONTHS

George had his half birthday yesterday!  He is as cheerful as ever, has started to sleep in his crib a little better (though not sleeping through the night yet), and has started on some solids and really enjoying it (seems to like sweet potato the best).  His favorite things are; having Peter pay attention to him, nursing, his jumpy swing, and watching the leaves in the trees.

Peter will be THREE next week.  He likes running around like a madman, quoting The Sword and the Stone, eating treats, making friends at the park, and doing things "all by himself."

He loves to help in the kitchen.  Here he is helping make homemade soft pretzels.  He really liked the salt.  Yikes!

Uhhh..
